TARGETED SPORTS PROGRAM

Wadalba Community School is a Kindergarten to Year 12 comprehensive, coeducational, public school. We educate over 1400 students, providing them with Academic, Sporting, Creative and Cultural opportunities. The school environment is safe and harmonious and our community is based on the values of respect, responsibility and excellence.

Wadalba Community School has a strong sporting program, allowing students to excel in a variety of areas. We are a part of the Tuggerah Lakes Zone, Sydney North Region and NSW Combined High Schools Sports Associations. Wadalba Community School enters the NSWCHS knockout competitions in more than thirty team sports, as well as numerous gala days organised by community sporting bodies. Students are encouraged to trial for sporting teams and stand for regional selection in their chosen sport. Information for these trials can be found on the Sydney North Area School Sports Association website.

The Targeted Sports Program is a skill based program that focuses on developing students' skills, fitness levels and understanding of the game. Five sports are currently offered as part of our TSP

  • Girls and Boys Football (Soccer)
  • Individual sports
  • Netball
  • Rugby League
  • Girls Touch

 Students who are enrolled at Wadalba Community School are eligible to trial for the program. The selection criteria for entry into the TSP are designed to identify students that are not only talented, but able to reach their academic and social potential whilst upholding the school values of respect, responsibility and excellence.

 In general terms the selection criteria are;

  • Skill level
  • Fitness level
  • Potential for development in the sport
  • Demonstrated commitments to school studies
  • Satisfactory level of school conduct

Application forms and the selection policy information can be downloaded from this site.
