Wadalba Community School would like to acknowledge that today is an important day for our country. Today we recognise all men and women including our Aboriginal servicemen, who have been involved in both peace and conflict for our nation. Remembrance Day has a special significance in 2018. On Sunday, 11 November 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War (1914–18). 100 Years ago, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after four years of continuous warfare. During Roll Call today students at Wadalba Community School will acknowledge Remembrance Day and stand for a minutes silence to pay our respects. We would like to remember and acknowledge our local community members and families for their service.
